What's in a Title?
Yesterday I was published in Angelus, the publication of the Los Angeles diocese.
The editor’s last minute change to the title skews my point. It was not my intention to emphasize America’s Catholic roots but to point to its Providential roots with God using anti-Catholic sources and Protestants of all types to construct the best form of government ever devised. Brownson had a hard time getting this point across to the Catholics of his time. I guess little has changed. 🤷🏼♂️
